The mission of the Applause Arts Foundation is to provide rigorous, pre-professional level performing arts training to children from underserved communities in New York City who might not otherwise have access to such programming. The Applause Arts Foundation is an independent not-for-profit and registered 501c3 charitable organization that works with Applause and other like-minded educational institutions to ensure that Foundation Youth Artists receive the most beneficial performing arts opportunities and highest quality training. Applications will be reviewed by committee and voted on anonymously and confidentially by committee members. If accepted, students will receive scholarships that cover either a quarter, a half, three quarters or all of the class cost.
What we’re looking for: The Applause Arts Foundation believes that every child everywhere should have acces to high quality performing arts training and education. Applicants are evaluated on several factors including apptitude, work ethic, commitment, talent and desire to grow their skills. Experience is not necessary to apply as the lack of opportunity and arts funding is an issue The Foundation seeks to address through its scholarships and programming.
How to Apply:
2.) Send a recommendation from at least one current teacher or coach.
3.) Send a video of the applicant following the Video Guidelines.
4.) The first page of the most recent W2 of the parents or guardians. Parents or guardians who have an income or combined household income of under $75,000 annually will automatically qualify for a three quarter or full scholarship to their chosen class, though qualification does not indicate a financial commitment from The Foundation. If you are unable to provide your most recent W2 please address this issue on the Application Form under “Anything else we should know?”.
All files (such as W-2’s, recommendations or links to videos) should be emailed to email@example.com OR Snail Mailed to:
